Black Jack (manga character), the main character of the 1973 manga series of the same name; Blackjack (Transformers), a fictional character in the Transformers universe; Films. Black Jack, an American silent Western film; Black Jack, written and directed by Julien Duvivier. The following is a list of chapters for the Japanese manga Black Jack. It was created by Osamu Tezuka and published in Weekly Shōnen Champion from November 19, 1973 to October 14, 1983.1 Some of the manga chapters were published in English by Viz Media throughout Volume 3 Issue 92 to Volume 4 Issue 83 of their manga anthology magazine, Manga Vizion. It was later released as two graphic novels. Black Jack is an outlaw surgeon and major character created by Osamu Tezuka. He appears occasionally through the Osamu Tezuka Star System, but is mainly known for starring in the titular Black Jack manga series. The English dub of OAV part 6 sneaks a Woolseyism into an otherwise straight scene. In the manga story 'The Boy and the Bird', Black Jack gently chides Pinoko for childishly crying after falling out of a tree. This inspires Pinoko to try crying in a more adult fashion.
